Guidance Classes
In 6th Grade Guidance classes that meet all year we will be focusing on the topics of study skills, social skills, relational aggression (bullying), leadership skills, goal setting and decision making.
In semester Guidance classes we will be using the "Life Skills" training program. Some of the units we will be studying include: Smoking and Alcohol prevention, Drug use prevention, Advertising, Violence in the Media, and Coping with Anxiety and Anger.
Students will be given a participation grade of an S-, S, or S+. Guidance classes do not factor into a students grade point average. Students are encouraged to participate to the best of their ability.
